🌸 Celebrating Summer & Shakti: IWA at the Indian Summer Festival 2025

The Indian Summer Festival 2025 was more than just a lively gathering of music, colors, and culture—it was also a powerful celebration of Indian women entrepreneurs, proudly supported and spotlighted by the Indian Women’s Association (IWA).
This vibrant outdoor event gave us the perfect platform to showcase the creativity, craftsmanship, and courage of Indian women living in Prague and nearby regions. Our goal was simple:
👉 To empower women by giving them a space to shine, and
👉 To strengthen IWA’s presence within the Indian community.
And what a celebration it was!
🎶 From Dhol to Dance – Energy All Around
The air was filled with the beats of the Indian dhol, bursts of color during Holi celebrations, an energetic DJ set, and delightful stage performances—all creating a joyful space for cultural pride and community bonding.
🛍️ Our Vibrant Stall – Treasures from India wrapped in Passion & Tradition
The stall turned into a vibrant Craft & Culture Hub, celebrating India’s entrepreneurial spirit through a beautiful blend of artistry, tradition, and innovation. Visitors were treated to a thoughtfully curated range of handmade and handcrafted treasures, including:
• Beautifully handcrafted candles that lit up more than just homes
• Hand-painted and personalized jackets, each telling its own story
• Intricately beaded and crocheted purses
• Adorable crocheted Rakhis for little ones—just in time for the festive season
• Face painting and henna, which drew a constant crowd—especially of our little visitors! The face painting station was a colorful hit among both kids and adults alike, adding playful charm to the festive atmosphere
• Indian jewelry, puja items, and Rakhis
• Delicious Indian sweets and savory snacks that tasted like home
🌼 Summer in a Frame
Our floral, summer-themed photo frame prop became one of the main highlights of our stall. Bright, cheerful, and picture-perfect, it offered visitors a fun way to capture memories while celebrating Indian culture under the summer sun.

This event wasn’t just about stalls or sales—it was about supporting women who create, lead, and inspire. It was about being visible, being present, and building a stronger sense of community together.
